Fashion Portfolio
THE GRAD SHOW:
The Grad Show is a fashion show for the final year students, organised by the university that I did my bachelors in fashion design, Amity University Dubai. It is organised as a part of our final year project which is creating a collection of garments based on the theme selected by each individual for portfolio development. Here the below images are the final results of a long process which includes finding a theme, making mood boards, inspiration boards, relating the garment design with the theme chosen, illiustrations, fabric sourcing, stitching, having trial fits on models, styling them and finally the garments going on stage.
Hours of Darkness
For my final graduation collection, I chose the theme "Hours of Darkness," which I refer to as nighttime. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the wonders and fantasies that occur at night, as well as the concept of darker aesthetics. My designs incorporate elements of both reality and fantasy during the dark hours, which I have showcased through the use of colors, silhouettes, and textures. My haute couture collection is targeted towards clients in their twenties to mid-forties, and can be worn to events such as red carpets, award shows, and the Met Gala. I have also created a men's collection that continues the same nighttime theme, drawing inspiration from various elements of the night. This collection is the result of two years of hard work, learning, and exploring my dream and fantasy.
Design I:
The gown is a dark blue bustier with a single sleeve, inspired by the night water. The yolk of the garment is textured like waves on a lake or river when the wind blows. The flowy nature of the garment and its blue shade represent the essence of water during dark hours.
The inspiration for this black gown comes from bats, creatures of the night. The color is also inspired by bats, and the exaggerated sleeve element is taken from the unique shape of their wings.

Design III:
This design belongs to the menswear collection and takes inspiration from the dusk color palette, which represents the transition from day to night. The cowl in the design is inspired by spider webs, although spiders are personally considered a scary insect.
Design IV:
This is one of my favourite design. This golden sequin dress with the exaggerated back element
is inspired from fairies, which is a fact of fantasy. The golden colour is insipired as an ideology
I have that fairies have a glow hence the sequin fabric is used and the back element is inspiration
from fairy wings
